Job Summary: This position is responsible for moving both physical and natural materials such as, but not limited to; earth, concrete, wood, stone, and metal at construction sites and is expected to utilize hand tools and other resources while effectively assisting in clearing land, excavating, trenching, grubbing, grading, concrete, and rebar work, etc.



 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation of all aspects of wireless cell site foundations, grounding, and conduits, with electrical installations where applicable
  • Assist with setting shelters, building culverts, roadways, and collecting soil reclamations and corrections
  • Connect jumpers and running cables, then connect to ground units
  • Perform general landscaping, such as concrete work, rebar, trenching, grubbing, etc.
  • Build and tie together cages of rebar
  • Offload material and inventory
  • Prepare and clean work sites
  • Maintain tool inventory and upkeep daily on job site
  • Assist Foreman with site photographs
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Qualifications

 Education:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Related trade school education

 Experience:

  • Five years’ experience in the wireless telecommunications industry
  • General site construction and minor electrical experience preferred
  • Proven ability to operate equipment such as excavators and skid steers

   Technical Skills:

  • Must have or be able to obtain OSHA Construction 10-hour Safety Training Card
  • Must have or obtain First Aid and CPR certification
  • Must have or obtain RF Radiation Safety & Awareness certification
  • Ability to read plans, blue prints, and diagrams
  • Civil/tower construction and quality assurance practices and procedures
  • Construction safety practices

 Soft Skills:

  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead, teach, and train on proper work and safety procedures

 Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
  • Individuals must have a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets Company requirements
  • Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 75 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes
  • Must be willing to travel up to 100% of the time
  • Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions
  • May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
