Job Description

Provide leadership to position the Velocitel division of the Company at the forefront of the industry.  Develop a strategic plan to advance the Company’s mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth.  Oversee the division’s operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.

 

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and revenue for the division
  • Ensure the division is in compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Manage customer obligations and ensure safe and efficient day-to-day operations
  • Utilize available resources and financial statements to determine progress and status in achieving objectives; revise objectives and plans in accordance with current and/or changing conditions
  • Monitor all material consumption and invoice packages to ensure timely submissions to customer for payment after all work is completed or when applicable 
  • Manage resources and assets by project to ensure maximum utilization
  • Oversee quality control program per company and customer regulations and specifications
  • Work in collaboration with the CEO to secure new business
  • Review and approve all division budgets
  • Monitor overhead costs in relation to total volume
  • Evaluate the performance of the senior management staff for compliance with established policies, divisional goals, and contributions to the organization
  • Oversight of vendor and supplier relationship management
  • Maintain the division’s positive reputation within the community
  • Observe and monitor the competition and market to identify areas of opportunity
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Supervisory Job Duties:

Carries out supervisory duties in accordance with the Company’s objectives, policies, and applicable laws.  Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: planning, assigning, and directing work, interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing employee concerns, and partnering with HR to resolve escalated employee matters.

Job Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a senior leadership role for a large division or company
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant wireless telecommunications experience
  • Relationships at Tier 1 wireless operators (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and/or T-Mobile) highly desired
  • Demonstrated record of fiscal management, financial acumen, and human resource management

  

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of standards and regulations within industry

 

 Soft Skills:

  • Leadership and negotiation, conflict management, analytical and problem solving capabilities, strong customer orientation
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information and professional boundaries
  • Strong business minded consultative approach with focus on profitability and margin
  • Strong financial understanding; ability to interpret financial indicators and use them as part of the decision making process
  • Ability to think analytically and apply sound judgment, solve problems, make effective decisions, and act with integrity
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and to manipulate calls when necessary to gain essential information
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict management abilities
  • Highly organized and detail orientated

 

 Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
  • Individuals must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions
  • May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
  • Travel up to 50% of the time, including short notice travel. Travel may include local site travel or national travel depending on business needs
